The Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS) provides services that assist all students in being engaged and successful members of the Georgia State University community. The services include connecting students to campus resources, facilitating students in resolving issues and complaints, highlighting the values of the university community, encouraging student involvement, and addressing emergency concerns.

The Multicultural Center (MC) is committed to increasing cultural competence and preparing students for global citizenship by cultivating a culture of care through cultural awareness & community building, advocacy & student success, resources & services, heritage celebrations, gender and sexuality, and education & training for social justice initiatives.

1520.30 Latinx Student Services and Outreach
Latinx Student Services and Outreach (LASSO) provides a space for students of all backgrounds to gather throughout the school day and immerse themselves in Latinx culture and a familia in which students support one another through their academic journeys and beyond. In addition, LASSO creates yearlong social, cultural, academic and professional programming on all campuses to enrich students’ development in all areas.

1520.40 Black Student Achievement
Black Student Achievement (BSA) provides university wide services and support programming in many areas, such as cultural enrichment, racial awareness, ethnicity, and diversity. To achieve its goals, Black Student Achievement sponsors a number of academic, cultural and social events. Special interest programs address African American and other minority concerns. Black Student Achievement also leads the largest cohort of Black males in the University System of Georgia’s African American Male Initiative (AAMI). My Brother’s Keeper provides an integrated program model of academic and social programs that foster leadership development, mentoring, college to career readiness, and overall student success.

1520.50 International Student Associations Council
The International Student Associations Council (ISAC) is comprised of the presidents and officers of 17 international student associations. The Council meets regularly to discuss issues pertaining to international students on campus and develop international student programs. The Council is assisted by the International Student & Scholar Services staff in planning events of special interest not only for international students, but for the Georgia State community as well.
