Student Financial Services consists of three key areas: The Student Financial Management Center, the Office of Student Accounts, and the Office of Student Financial Aid. Each department provides services to students to help them meet their financial obligations to Georgia State University so that they can progress academically. It is the responsibility of the student to be informed of and to observe all regulations and procedures regarding tuition, fees, payments, refunds, and financial aid. In no case will a regulation be waived or an exception granted because a student pleads ignorance of the regulation or asserts that he or she was not informed of it by an advisor or other authority. Verbal misinformation is not grounds for a waiver of a regulation.
