CMIS 4200 - Data Visualization

Prerequisites: CMIS 1301 or equivalent with a C or higher, or consent of instructor.
Corequisites: None.

Description
Data visualization is about displaying information and data in visual forms (eg. , charts, maps, diagrams, 3D models) and is closely related to data analytics. Students will learn how to use Python and other tools to create interactive statistical charts, maps, network, and text visualizations. Students will also learn the principles of visualization design, cognitive basis of visualization, and the theoretical foundation of data visualization design.
