Description
This course serves as in introduction to security and privacy regulations that affect the development lifecycles of healthcare technology systems. Special consideration is given to the in- depth study of how the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Informatics Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act affects an organizations healthcare informatics initiatives.
