Description
The course will examine the major philosophical schools of thought in sport and trace the development of competitive sport from ancient civilizations to the present. Reoccurring themes will be identified and significant individuals and events that impacted the history of sport will be discussed to gain a better understanding of how sport has evolved to its integral place in society.
