PHPH 4250 - Introduction to Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response

Description
This course provides an overview of public health emergency preparedness and response concepts and practice. The laws, policies, practices, terminology, resources, and organization of emergency and disaster response efforts on the federal, state and local levels will be reviewed and discussed. Case examples of public health in action during emergency events and disasters will be analyzed. The course will identify best practices for emergency response planning, carrying out plans, and communicating with communities about disasters.
