Description
This course is the first in a two-course sequence at the elementary level of Swahili. The course consists of the study of the fundamentals of the language, using Swahili as the language of instruction. Emphasis is on oral communication with grammar and vocabulary taught in context, and the cultures of the East Africa and Swahili-speaking parts of the world presented using interactive activities, discussion, and readings.
