AL 4980 - Internship

3 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: AL 3021 with a grade of C or higher, Junior or Senior standing, and a declared Applied Linguistics major or minor, or approval of the AL undergraduate director. AL 3051 and AL 4161 are recommended prerequisite for internships that involve teaching English.
Description
This course provides an opportunity to observe and interact with professionals engaged in day-to-day activities in a corporate or non-profit setting. Students will gain occupational skills through hands-on experience and apply linguistics theory, pedagogy, and/or analysis methods to relevant problems in written assignments. May be repeated to fulfill residency or total degree hour requirements, but not to fulfill major requirements.
