SW 3100 - Community Partnerships

3 Credit Hours
Description
Building and mobilizing community partnerships is a well-developed strategy for leveraging human and financial resources towards solving complex community problems. These solutions require the engagement of multiple community sectors (public, private, and nonprofit). In this course, you will learn the essential elements for building collaborative partnerships across diverse groups and communities. We will examine various cooperative frameworks and develop skills necessary to initiate, build, evaluate, and sustain durable coalitions and community partnerships. This course includes an experiential component where you will work directly with community organizations across sectors to address an important social issue common to each organization.
