GEOG 4680 - Oceanography & Climate Change

Prerequisites: CHEM 1211/L and one of the following: ENVS 1401/L, ENVS 1402/L, GEOG 1112/L, GEOG 1113/L, GEOL 1121/L or GEOL 1122/L.
Description
This course will explore classic, impactful, and paradigm-shifting research at the intersections of oceanography, paleoclimatology, and modern climate change. The subdisciplines of biological, chemical, geological, and physical oceanography will be investigated together in relation to key topics of past, present, and future climate change. Students will work with real-world data from these fields and examine routes of scientific inquiry and discovery along the way.
