Description
This course provides an introduction to security and privacy as it pertains to healthcare information and healthcare information systems. It explores the impact of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Informatics Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act on healthcare organizations with regard to information security and privacy measures.
