Examination of health communication in a variety of interpersonal contexts. Emphasis on theories and research that aim to improve patient-provider communication, health communication in families and intimate partner relationships, social support and caregiving, cultural competence, interpersonal health interventions, and how newer communication technologies shape interpersonal health communication behaviors.
