RELS 4230 - Religion and Mental Health

Description
This course explores applied approaches to the psychology of religion in the area of mental health. Beginning with developmental psychology and identity construction, the course moves into specific aspects of mental health and religion including depression, anxiety, addiction, flourishing models, and conversion/deconversion experiences. Each topic investigates research in religious beliefs and practices in both individual and social contexts.
