Description
This course provides an orientation for guidance personnel and counselors, school administrators, career and technical educators, and general education teachers to the basic purposes and goals of career and technical education in terms of major issues and current trends pertaining to the occupational preparation of youth and adults. A brief history of social, economic, and technical forces that stimulated the development of vocational education, and areas and types of career and technical education and their functions are presented.
