GEOG 4050 - Natural Environment of Georgia

Description
This course will focus on the diversity of Georgia’s landscapes. Through readings, discussions, field outings, and projects, students will become familiar with the principles involved in the structure and function of Georgia’s dwindling but diverse ecosystems. There is an emphasis on plant and animal communities, the physical environment, and landscape management strategies. Locations, diversity, and plant indicator species will be examined in the classroom and the field. This course may include a Signature Experience component.
