MUS 4110 - Instrumentation and Orchestration

Prerequisites: Mus 2450 and Mus 2550 with grades of C or higher, or equivalent, or consent of instructor.
Description
Exploration of the technical capabilities and idiomatic performance practices of instruments found in the orchestra and the wind ensemble. Additional instruction in arranging and transcribing techniques for chamber ensembles, the orchestra, and wind ensemble. Three lecture hours a week.
