PHPH 2001 - Fundamentals of Epidemiology

Prerequisites: MATH 1401 (formerly MATH 1070) strongly recommended as a prerequisite, though not required.
Corequisites: PHPB 2000.
Description
This course introduces learners to population based approach to health and describes the full range of options for intervention to promote health and prevent disease. The course will cover basic principles of epidemiology, including epidemiological measures, association and causality, descriptive and analytic epidemiology, and outbreak investigation. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the role of epidemiology in the policy arena. 3.000 Credit hours.
