ENGL 3220 - History of the English Language

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisites: ENGL 1102 and either ENGL 2120 or ENGL 2130 with a C or higher.
Description
Development of the structure and history of the English language: Indo-European, Old English, Middle English, Early Modern English, and Present Day English. Students must learn IPA for phonological study. Attention will also be given to the morphology, syntax, social and regional variations, and semantics of English.Global Scholars course.
