MATH 4752 - Mathematical Statistics II

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisite: MATH 2202 or MATH 2212 or equivalent with a grade of B or higher or MATH 2215 or equivalent with a grade of C or higher.
Description
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of statistical inference with an emphasis on the rigorous development of estimation and testing methods. Topics include functions of random variables, sampling distributions, principles of statistical decision theory, methods of point estimation, interval estimation, and hypothesis testing for means, variances, and proportions. Applications to real-world data are emphasized throughout.
