NURS 3080 - Concepts of Nursing Care

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisites: Acceptance into the nursing program.
Description
Course Description: The nurse’s role in promotion of wellness, prevention of disease, and restoration of health will be examined. This course is designed to explore the basic concepts of nursing care across the life span in various settings. It is also designed to facilitate the student’s acquisition of knowledge and understanding regarding the profession. Topics will include historical influences, current issues, ethical issues, trends, professionalism and governance. Students will utilize the nursing process to plan care for common clinical phenomena.
