MATH 8501 - Math Modeling of Epidemiology


3 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: Grade of C or higher in MATH 4010/MATH 6010  Mathematical Biology, basic probability, statistics, and programming skills.
Description
Infectious Disease Epidemiology. The course covers fundamentals of developing and applying mathematical models of the spread and control of infectious diseases including influenza, Ebola, dengue, and HIV/AIDS. At the end of the course, students will be able to design and analyze new models of disease transmission and use these models to assess the effect of control interventions.
