The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers its students a high-quality graduate experience that prepares them to implement evidence-based speech, language and communication services across the scope of practice in speech-language pathology. The communication sciences and disorders master’s program is the premier program in the city of Atlanta. Students are afforded experiences in diverse settings throughout the metro-Atlanta area with children and adults who have speech, language and communication impairments. Graduates meet the academic and clinical requirements for national certification as well as state licensure in speech-language pathology, and are prepared to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools and other diverse settings.
