Music Industry, B.S. - Music Production & Audio Recording Concentration


Degree Requirements


Students in the B.S. in Music Industry are advised to take a combination of courses from Area F and Area G during their first and second year of study.

Area F: Courses Related to the Major (18 Hours)

MUS 10XX Appropriate Large Ensemble


4 Hours (4 semesters, 1 credit each) 

Ensembles: please note that students are assigned to appropriate ensembles by pool auditions at the beginning of every fall and spring semester.

Course options are dependent upon the results of Audition or Digital Portfolio entrance to the School of Music.

  • If accepted through audition:
    • APXX 1001 Applied Music - Freshman I 1 Credit Hour and APXX 1002 Applied Music - Freshman II 1 Credit Hour
      • with MUS 4010 Performance Lab (0) (2 semesters)
  • If accepted through digital portfolio:

    • APXX 2001 Applied Music - Sophomore I 1 Credit Hour and APXX 2002 Applied Music - Sophomore II 1 Credit Hour
      • with MUS 4010 Performance Lab (0) (2 semesters) 
    • MUS 30XX Appropriate large ensemble 1 Credit Hour (2 semesters, 2 hours)
