Interdisciplinary Studies (Acting), B.I.S.

The B.I.S. in Acting cultivates the knowledge and skills students need to be successful as an actor in both theatre and film. Courses are taught by professionals actively working in the film industry and professional theatre. Students gain practical experience working on live theatrical productions and on film projects. The interdisciplinary studies degree offers students the opportunity to choose a thematic concentration in Area H such as Film Studies and Production, Writing for Stage and Screen, Gender and Race, and more. This degree allows students greater freedom to study multiple subjects of interest.

In addition to the Program Degree Requirements, students must fulfill the College of the Arts Degree Requirements (see section 10030) and the University Degree Requirements (see section 1400).
