Applied Linguistics Minor

Students who wish to minor in applied linguistics must take 15-18 credit hours in courses that include a world language and options such as Introduction to Second Language Acquisition, Bilingualism, and Morphology and Syntax.. A grade of C or higher is required in all courses counting toward the minor. AL 3021  Introduction to Linguistics is a prerequisite for AL 3041, 4131, 4011, and 4012. Students who wish to complete both a minor and a TEFL certificate may count some of the same courses toward requirements for both programs.
