Allied Health Certificate

Return to: Health Professions

Certificate of Less than One Year In Allied Health

The Allied Health Certificate provides students with the general education courses they need if pursuing careers in various allied health professions not requiring a degree.  Such specialized programs and related courses offered at hospitals require knowledge that is obtained through basic general education courses that are not a part of the hospital program.  The Allied Health Certificate is designed to meet these needs and to provide students wanting to enter these programs the needed knowledge and prerequisites.

33 hours (ten courses) are required for completion of the program.  Every course needed for this certificate can partially fulfill requirements in the General Studies pathway, A.S., should students decide to continue on to the associate’s program.
