Students must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 and a science GPA of 2.5 to register for 3000 and 4000 level nutrition courses. Any grade below a C is not acceptable toward the degree. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required to receive the degree. Core IMPACTS and Field of Study are common to both concentrations. Students who are unable to pass any NUTR courses with a grade of C or better in two attempts shall not be permitted to repeat the course or to enroll in any departmental courses for which the course is the prerequisite.

Health and Wellness Coach Certificate Students majoring in Nutrition are eligible to complete requirements to obtain a Health and Wellness Coach Certificate. To satisfy the requirements for the Health and Wellness Coach Certificate, students must complete the requirements for a B.S. in Nutrition and must pass NUTR 4500-Health Coaching I and NUTR 4550-Health Coaching II. Upon graduation, students will have met all education requirements to sit for the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching exam. Any 3000-4000 level NUTR course (except NUTR 3100) that is not a required courses is an approved elective. Total Program Hours Required: A Minimum of 120 Semester Hours
