Studio, B.F.A. - Drawing and Painting or Printmaking Concentration


Drawing and Painting (DPP) Concentration


Requirements for Drawing and Painting only. 

Major (60 Hours)


The following courses are required in the Major area for students who are accepted into the Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking (DPP) concentration.

ART 4980 , Special Problems (1-6 credit hours), may be used to adjust program in order to meet the 60-hour requirement in the Major area. Consent of the Area Coordinator and instructor are required. Acceptance to the DPP concentration is determined by application and portfolio review following completion of at least two DPP 3000-level courses from the art core sequence listed below.

In order to graduate, students must have taken the Critical Thinking through Writing (CTW) course required for this concentration (DPP 4950 ). This course should be taken at the appropriate time, as described below.

6-8 Hours

Any 4000-level Art History course and/or one to two 3000/4000-level studio courses outside Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking.

Printmaking (DPP) Concentration


Requirements for Printmaking only. 

Major (60 Credit Hours)
