Studio, B.F.A. - Three-Dimensional Studies - Ceramics or Sculpture Concentration


Three-Dimensional Studies (3DS) - Ceramics Concentration Requirements


The following courses are required in the Major area for students who are accepted into the Three-Dimensional Studies Concentration, with an emphasis in Ceramics.

In order to graduate, students must have taken the Critical Thinking through Writing (CTW) course required for this concentration (3DS 4955 ). This course should be taken at the appropriate time, as described below.

Major (60 Hours)


Ceramics Concentration Core Requirements


9 Hours

Two-Dimensional Studies Elective


3-4 Hours

Select one 3000/4000-level course from the following disciplines:

Three-Dimensional Studies (3DS) Studio Elective


3-4 Hours

Select one 3-4 credit hour 3DS studio elective.

Art History


3 Hours

Select one 4000-Level Art History course.

Ceramics Concentration Requirements (34-36 Hours)


ART 4980 - Special Problems  (1-6 credit hours), may be used to adjust program in order to meet the 60-hour requirement in the Major area. Consent of Area Coordinator and instructor required.

Three-Dimensional Studies-Sculpture Concentration Requirements


The following courses are required in the Major area for students who are accepted into the Three-Dimensional Studies Concentration, with an emphasis in Sculpture.

In order to graduate, students must have taken the Critical Thinking through Writing (CTW) course required for this concentration (3DS 4950 ). This course should be taken at the appropriate time, as described below.
