Mathematics, B.S., Computer Science Concentration

Concentration Requirements

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers the Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a concentration in computer science. This program provides strong preparation in both mathematics and computer science. Students completing this program may request that a suitable annotation be placed on their permanent record. Students must receive credit CSC 1301 , and CSC 1302 in the Core IMPACTS or Field of Study areas or as electives.

Major Area (45-46 Hours)

Complete the following course to fulfill the Critical Thinking Through Writing (CTW) requirement:

CSC 4520 - Design and Analysis of Algorithms 4 Credit Hours
CSC 4610 - Numerical Analysis I 3 Credit Hours or MATH 4610 - Numerical Analysis I 3 Credit Hours
