Digital Filmmaking, M.F.A

The M.F.A. in Digital Filmmaking is designed to equip students with the artistic, technical, and professional skills needed to excel in an evolving media landscape. Combining a foundation in film and media production principles with hands-on experience, the program fosters expertise in a wide range of storytelling forms, including fiction, non-fiction, animation, experimental works, and series television. Students benefit from exposure to best practices in the industry, opportunities to network with professionals, and a supportive, collaborative learning environment.

Leveraging Atlanta’s rich history in both fiction and documentary filmmaking, the program emphasizes the intersection of these two forms, preparing graduates for careers in Georgia’s thriving film industry and beyond. By embracing innovative storytelling and promoting ethical, inclusive filmmaking practices, the program encourages students to shape the future of media production.
