Increasingly, many careers require an awareness of legal issues and the impact they can have on the success of an enterprise. The legal studies minor gives students a deeper understanding of several different areas of law and how they apply in a variety of business and non-business fields. Courses emphasize critical thinking and problem solving, expose students to legal reasoning, and analyze contemporary legal issues and transactions. Open to all GSU students, the legal studies minor will benefit undergraduate students who plan to go to law school, as well as students in business, compliance, human resources, entrepreneurship, health care, the entertainment industry, and other disciplines whose careers will require an understanding of the law in their field, strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
