Critical Thinking Through Writing (CTW) Requirement

All B.Mu. students take at least one of the following courses to complete the Critical Thinking through Writing (CTW) requirement, as prescribed in each concentration of the Major area.

• MUS 4810 - Music History from the Classical Period to the Present-CTW 3 Credit Hours
• MUS 4820 - World Music-CTW 3 Credit Hours

It is recommended that Bachelor of Music students take three hours of a lower-division music appreciation course to complete the Arts, Humanities & Ethics area of the Core IMPACTS.
