PT 8100 - Introductory Clinical Research

Prerequisites: Entry into the PT program.
Description
Introductory Clinical Research is the first course in a series designed to assist the DPT students in developing and completing a research project related to the field of Physical Therapy. The main purpose of this introductory course is to help students implement evidence- based practice by providing the basic research knowledge and skills necessary to critically analyze and use scientific literature. Students will be introduced to principles of evidence-based practice, research design, hypothesis generation and testing, basic statistical analyses of data, data interpretation, and process of results dissemination.
