HIST 8685 - Preservation Economics

Description
This course introduces students to the basic principles of the economics of historic preservation and the financial techniques used to encourage the reuse of historic properties. The course will establish these principles and techniques through discussions and fieldwork related to measuring the economic value of historic places, assessing a historic place ‘s economic sustainability, and evaluating the long-term economic impacts of preservation policies.
