PHPB 8332 - Maternal and Child Health Advocacy: From Rights to Justice

Description
This course will focus on social justice issues in maternal and child health populations. Students will learn about disparities of this populations, and the complex reasons for these underlying disparities will be examined. Advocacy skills will be developed and students will be prepared to implement solutions through systemic changes that address important maternal and child health issues. Students will learn to communicate and interact effectively with families and people – regardless of differences or needs â€” learning about the ways various families navigate maternal and child health systems of support. The course will be Letter Graded.
