LT 8130 - Sociocultural & Design-Based Foundations of Learning Sciences

In this course you will be introduced to socio-cultural and design-based theories in Learning Sciences and their implications for teaching and learning environments. You will also explore equitable and expansive learning design practices through course assignments. Topics include how people learn through participation in social and technical practices, culture and power, embodied cognition, race, identity and resilience, interest driven and elective learning, and consequential design.
