EPRS 8500 - Qualitative/Interpretive Research in Education I

This is the introductory course in a sequence of three courses (including the core requirement EPRS 8500 and the elective courses EPRS 8510  and EPRS 8520 ) designed to provide theoretical and practical understandings of qualitative/interpretive research. This course provides students with an overview of the broad field of qualitative methodology, as well as an introduction to historical, philosophical, and policy research methodologies. Students will study theoretical underpinnings of qualitative research and research design. In addition, students will learn how to evaluate qualitative studies and write literature reviews.

Requirements: A minimum grade of “C” is required for this course.
