PHPB 7410 - Public Health Intervention Development


3 Hours
This course provides an in-depth overview of the concepts, theories, models and applications of program planning and intervention development. The intervention mapping model will be used to plan, develop and implement public health interventions. Students will utilize design tools, methods, and resources to develop an intervention focused on affecting the empirical and theoretical determinants and associated behaviors that influence diverse public health problems. The ecological model will be used to conceptualize multilevel determinants that inform development of complex intervention plans which address design, implementation, evaluation and dissemination issues.
