PHPH 8830 - Advanced Statistical Topics

This is a survey course of advanced statistical topics in public health research and practice, including the analysis of study data with longitudinal, hierarchical, or multilevel structures. Using an applied and practical approach to each statistical technique, focus is on model specification, estimation, selection, inference, and interpretation. Understanding is emphasized with applications using statistical software and examples drawn from the current public health literature.
