NURS 4110 - Caring for Childbearing Families

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisites: NURS 2010, 2200, 3065, 3066, 3080, 3161, 3162, 3510, and 3810.
Description
The course focuses on the application of nursing knowledge and skills in the care of women and childbearing families. The goal is to foster health promotion, maintenance, and/or restoration of optimal patterns of health. Emphasis is given to early detection and intervention of altered health patterns for women throughout their lifespan and during the childbearing period. Under faculty supervision, the student develops and refines professional practice.
