Requirement: A minimum grade of “C” is required for this course. This field experience course prepares pre-service teachers to use their knowledge of child development, discipline-specific content and pedagogy, theories relevant to culturally and linguistically responsive teaching and classroom management to plan for instruction and assessment and to create inclusive, positive learning environments for all learners. Teacher candidates will apply learning in field by creating specific lesson plans and assessments that are aligned to curriculum goals and learning outcomes, including the use of technology, to make learning meaningful to students’ understanding, diverse experiences and backgrounds.
