Description
This course introduces the leadership roles and management functions of professional registered nurseswithin the structure of an organization. The management process provides the foundational structure forthe course, while the theoretical framework for this course is established through exploration of leadershipstyles, organizational theory, and management theory. Quality assurance and the provision ofevidence-based, patient-centered care and collaborative relationships are emphasized. The impact ofpolitical and legislative processes, the integration of informatics, and the legal and ethical issues inmanagement are also discussed.
