BIOL 4520 - Forensic DNA Technologies, Methods, and Analysis

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisites: BIOL 3800 and BIOL 4510.
Description
This course provides students with an opportunity to understand Forensic DNA analysis and its application to the criminal justice system. Methods and technologies applied by forensic DNA analysts, including but not limited to molecular techniques, population genetics, and theories and statistics will be emphasized. Application of these concepts will focus on scientific theory, laboratory techniques and statistical interpretation. Three lecture hours per week.
