PMAP 4441 - Governance Around the World

Description
This course focuses on the effect of political and economic institutions on public managers’ attitudes, behavior, and policy and socioeconomic outcomes. By the end of this course, you will (1) understand the varieties of the public and civil society sectors around the world, (2) see the connections between a country’s political regime, governance, bureaucracy, and civil society, (3) make cross-country comparisons of different forms of governing institutions, and (4) use theory and data to argue for specific public policy and management issues.
