This course provides an opportunity for teacher candidates to examine the historic, current and emerging perspectives, practices and policies in early childhood education. Emphasis will be placed on ways in which teacher candidates are applying the knowledge and skills they are developing to effectively respond to the holistic needs of young children and emerging professional expectations in early childhood.
