PSYC 3910 - WomenLead in Science

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisites: Students must have 30 credit hours and at least a 3.0 cumulative Grade Point Average. Students must meet the Psychology Major Eligibility Requirement in order to enroll in this course.
Description
This WomenLead Program (https://robinson.gsu.edu/womenlead/) is open to all Atlanta campus students of all majors. The WomenLead in Science course examines women’s leadership in the world of science, healthcare, and other professional settings while also developing students’ professional and leadership skills. Students will learn about the successes and challenges in the history of women’s leadership, explore professional women’s career trajectories, and delve into the research on cognitive bias and attitudes towards women’s leadership. Students will also work collaboratively to develop (1) professional documentation of their experiences, (2) networking skills, (3) leadership skills to empower them to address novel challenges and form solutions to problems within their own communities.
