NUTR 4601 - Nutrition and Herbalism


Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisite: NUTR 2100 AND either NUTR 3500 or NUTR 3700 as a prerequisite or corequisite.
Description
This course integrates principles of nutrition with the study of herbalism, providing students with an evidence-based foundation in the use of herbs for promoting health and well-being. The course covers the historical, cultural, and scientific aspects of herbalism, explores the relationship between herbs and nutrition, and focuses on practical applications for students interested in wellness and holistic health practices. Students will engage in research, practical use, and testing while gaining skills to critically evaluate and apply herbal and nutritional interventions.
