AL 4985 - Internship Abroad

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisite: AL 3021 or ForL 3021 with grade of C or higher, Junior or Senior standing, and a declared Applied Linguistics major or minor.
AL 3051Â TEFL I and AL 4161Â TEFL II are recommended before an internship that involves teaching English.

Description
In an international corporate or non-profit setting, students will gain occupational skills and apply linguistics theory, pedagogy, and/or analysis methods to relevant problems in written assignments. AL 3051 TEFL I and AL 4161 TEFL II are recommended before an internship that involves teaching English. May be repeated once to fulfill residency or total degree hour requirements, but not to fulfill major requirements. Internship hours must be completed abroad for this course.
