CIS 3260 - Introduction to Programming

Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisite: CIS 2010 and 2.5 GSU GPA.
Requirements: Must meet RCB upper division course requirements and 45 semester hours.

Description
Co-requisite: CIS 3205.Requirements: Must meet RCB upper division course requirements and 45 semester hours.This course introduces programming using a contemporary object-oriented language, focusing on developing correct, efficient, and maintainable programs. Key topics include problem analysis, program design, documentation, testing, and debugging, with the specific language noted each semester. Alongside traditional instruction, students have access to an AI-powered tutor that provides personalized feedback, suggests improvements, offers additional exercises, and assists with debugging and code optimization, allowing for self-paced learning with immediate support. Students may only take this course twice.
